Nitrogen fixing plants in zone 9b

gandules nitrogen fixing leaf-min

Nitrogen fixing plants are great to grow in any food forest or garden.

They simply take the nitrogen from the air and hold it in the plant. Once the plant is cut back, the roots and leaves decompose and release that nitrogen back into the soil.

This is a great way to get a nitrogen-rich fertilizer back into your garden.
